Summer 2008 at Glory of Christ

Sermon Series on Worship:
From June 1 to September 7 (with a few exceptions), we will be studying what it means to live a life of worship before the Lord, both as individuals and as a congregation.

Sunday Picnics:
Just about every other Sunday throughout the summer, we will enjoy a time of fellowship, food, and fun together at a local park during the second hour. This would be a great time to invite family and friends to get to know our church! The dates are: June 8 & 22, July 13 & 27, August 10 & 24 (the August 10 picnic will kick-off our Family Camp).

Wednesday Connection:
Beginning June 11, we will commence our summer Wednesday Connections at Otsego Park. We will begin with a meal at 5:30, followed by fun and games, then we will close out the night with some singing and a brief devotional thought. We plan to be done by 7:30. These services will be planned and led by our young adults (7-12 grades) under the supervision of Pastor Kevin.

“Do Hard Things” Conference:
The “Do Hard Things” Tour is coming to Minneapolis at the Convention center on June 21st. “Do Hard Things” is part of a Christian movement called The Rebelution—a teenage rebellion against low expectations led by 19 year old twins Alex and Brett Harris. Parents are strongly encouraged to take their teens to the one day conference to hear and be challenged by the exciting movement of God through this upcoming generation. For details and registration, visit www.therebelution.com or contact Pastor Kevin.

Family Camp:
On August 10-12, Glory of Christ will have its inaugural Family Camp. We will enjoy 2 ˝ days of food, fun, fellowship, worship, and teaching, and all right here in our backyards, namely, Big Lake! Contact Pastor Kevin for more details.

Back Yard Bible Clubs:
Throughout the summer several families will be hosting Back Yard Bible Clubs, designed to instruct our children and reach other families in the area. If you are interested in hosting or serving, please contact Pastor Kevin.

Lamp & Light Verse

Philippians 2:5-7 (ESV)
Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus,?who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but made himself nothing, taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men.
