Commemorating a Tragic Decision

December l5 is the 13th anniversary of Doe v. Gomez, the Minnesota Supreme Court decision that mandated that Minnesota taxpayers pay for abortions. Presently your state tax dollars pay for 28% of all abortions performed in Minnesota.

This is the most extreme abortion decision in the U.S. To show our love and compassion for women and children and to help give them an option other than abortion, Minnesota Citizens Concerned for life (MCCL) has asked that we commemorate the Doe v. Gomez decision with a “CHOOSE LIFE DRIVE” to collect baby items for donation to local crisis pregnancy centers.

Please bring diapers or other baby items to church and place them in a container by the information table on the weekends of December 7 and 14. We will then deliver these items to the Abba Pregnancy Resource center where they will be used to help women and children in need.

Thank you in advance for your participation in this effort and for your continued prayers for the sanctity of life. May we ever plead with our Father until the day when the greatest holocaust in human history comes to an end!

“Religion that is pure and undefiled before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world” (James 1:27). I’m sure our Father would include here defending the lives of the most vulnerable human beings in our society.

With hope in the justice, mercy, and power of Christ,
Pastor Charlie

Romans 8:15 (ESV)
For you did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption as sons, by whom we cry, "Abba! Father!"
