Charlie Handren, Pastor for Preaching and Vision

Pastor Charlie’s responsibilities at Glory of Christ are (1) to oversee the overall vision and direction of the church, (2) to oversee the adult teaching and preaching ministries, (3) to oversee the men’s ministry and the prayer ministry, and (4) to supervise the staff and some volunteers.

He earned the Bachelor of Arts degree in religion and sociology, with a minor in English, from California Baptist University (1992), and the Master of Divinity degree from the American Baptist Seminary of the West and the Graduate Theological Union (1999).

He was the founding Pastor of Redwood Grove Christian Church (Novato, California) where he served for six years, and most recently, he was the Church Planting Resident at Bethlehem Baptist Church (Minneapolis, Minnesota) where he served for one year.

He is married to his best friend, Kimberly (1991), and together they have one beautiful daughter, Rachel (1994).

He loves biking, hiking, reading, studying the Bible, and being a pastor!
