Aaron O'Harra, Minister of Worship

At Glory of Christ Baptist Church we strive, by God’s immeasurable grace, to be a people that spread a passion for the supremacy of God in all things for the joy of all peoples through Jesus Christ both as a corporate body, and in our individual daily lives. We worship a supreme God who is abounding in grace, and infinite in mercy, and so desire to be enthralled with Him day by day, hour by hour, minute by minute, second by second. As the worship leader, I invite you to be taken captive by this vision and join us in drinking from the all-satisfying God who satisfies “…us in the morning with your steadfast love that we may rejoice and be glad all our days (Psalm 90:14).”
After graduating from Northwest University in Kirkland, Washington with a Business degree, I supervised the service branch of Archstone Apartments. It was during this time that I felt called to full-time vocational ministry but had no way of pursuing formal training. It wasn’t until a Desiring God National conference that I was able to meet with Tom Steller about possible training in Minneapolis. I had met the prerequisites of admissions and decided to fill out the application for the Track 2 apprenticeship at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Minneapolis, MN. Needless to say, by God’s grace, I was accepted and my family and I moved out in August of 2006. It was in the apprenticeship program that I received Charlie Handren as an elder mentor, which consequently led me to Glory of Christ Baptist Church. I am still currently in the Track 2 program as well as serving at GCBC and am amazed at the sovereignty of God working through each one of these events to bring us here to Minnesota.
I am married to Jena O’Harra and have one daughter (Elizabeth) and one son (Gideon).

Lamp & Light Verse

Philippians 2:5-7 (ESV)
Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus,?who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but made himself nothing, taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men.
